¶ Knox Allied Fragments (KAF)
The Knox Allied Fragments (KAF) is a collection of several groups local to the Knox County area that come together after the rifts started opening once it became clear they could not handle the crisis on their own. The unprecedented damage wrought and the hordes of undead that swarmed the population proved to be too much for each individual group, and so they coalesce as a single faction over time with several leaders taking charge to help protect the populace.
The KAF is largely comprised of fragments of several local government entities, including:
- The Louisville Police Department
- The Kentucky National Guard
- The Knox County Transport Authorities
- The Louisville Fire Department
- University of Lousiville Hospital
You can play as former police officer of the Louisville Police Department, a member of the Kentucky National Guard, a firefighter from the Louisville Fire Department, or a hospital worker at the University of Louisville Hospital.
The KAF is a group focused on providing aid and support to the people of Knox County. They are attemtping to make the best of a terrible situation.
If you want to start as a member of the KAF, say you were a part of the early evacuation efforts, or otherwise be connected to the KAF, open an application questions ticket first.
Your character cannot be a SWAT team member.
¶ The KAF and the MegaCavern MegaMall
After quickly learning that rifts did not open underground and that the hordes of undead were overwhelming the populace, efforts were shifted by members of the KAF to convert the MegaCavern MegaMall, located on the outskirts of Louisville, into a refuge. After establishing themselves there, they began sending out emergency broadcasts on all frequencies notifying the population that the mall had been converted into a safe haven with medical supplies and food.
¶ Presence Within the MegaCavern MegaMall
The KAF has taken over a movie theater within the mall and converted it into a new base of operations for themselves. Within is their new offices, meeting areas, and the beginnings of a new clinic.
¶ Leadership
The KAF is primarily led by one FBI agent by the name of Bethany Nightingale. Along with her, she works closely with Louisville Police Chief Warren Nash and Doctor Amara Wright to lead the organizational efforts and provide support to the refugees seeking shelter in the MegaCavern MegaMall.
The Knox Allied Fragments are on Friendly terms with ECHO.

¶ Bethany Nightingale
FBI Agent with the Department of Emerging Theats Analysis Unit. Has become a de-facto leader of the KAF since it has been established within the MegaCavern MegaMall and is running day-to-day operations.

Chief of Police for the Louisvile Police Department. He is in charge of the police presence and maintaining security within the MegaCavern MegaMall.
Chief Nash perished during an operation to retrieve police records and equipment from the LVPD. He fell into a rift.

Deputy Chief of Police for the Louisville Police Department. She works closely with Police Chief Nash to maintain security within the MegaCavern MegaMall.

Doctor of Emergency Medicine, University of Louisville Health. She has taken over the management of the MegaCavern MegaTheatre Hospital since evacuating to the MegaCavern MegaMall.

Doctor of General Medicine. Has been hired to the KAF Hospital as a manager to assist Dr. Amara Wright with administrative and operational matters. Trained at Indiana School of Medicine and finished residency at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis before traveling to Knox for vacation in 1993.

Captain of the 2nd Company of the 13th Regiment US Army. He has taken command of the company following the loss of the Regiment's commanding officer during the chaos of March 9th, 1993.
