¶ About the Server Queue
Wasteland has its own unique queueing system to ensure fairness for players attempting to connect to the server. There is a 30 minute priority bypass for members with the Donator Status. This allows people who support the server to get a slight headstart during the busiest hours on Wasteland.
¶ How do I join the queue?
- Go to the website: https://wastelandrp.net/
- Ensure you are logged in with your discord account.
- Go to the Dashboard.
- Click on "Server Queue."
- Click "Join Queue" for the character you wish to join the queue with.
- Wait until its your turn.
- You will receive a DM on discord when you are next in line.
- Additionally, the website will play a sound when you're next.
- When it is your turn to connect, the queue system will play another sound.
- Once it's your turn, you will be able to connect using the normal process in-game.
- You have 5 minutes to join before you lose your place.
- You can extend this one time, for an additional five minutes.
¶ What if I close my browser?
That's okay! It will keep your place. Just re-open the website and go back to the Server Queue.
¶ What if I crash? Do I need to re-queue?
No, you have 5 minutes after disconnecting for any reason to rejoin. After 5 minutes, your slot is lost.
- Similar to when joining the queue, this can also be extended by an additional 5 minutes one time.
¶ Does Donator priority apply to the website's queue?
Yes, donators and Staff get a 30 minute head start in the queue. This means you will be placed ahead of anyone else who queued in the past 30 minutes who does not also have priority.
¶ Do I keep my place at reboots.
In theory yes. Given the 5 minute timeout for disconnects, it should let everyone who was on before reboot a chance to get in the in-game queue before that timeout. It is a good idea to go to the queue page and extend your time limit by five minutes. Occasionally, a reboot may take longer than five minutes.
¶ Slot Hoarding
Slot hoarding is the act of connecting to the server, but sitting at the "Click to Start" screen in order to hold your place without playing. Remaining idle on this page for 15 minutes or more will cost you your spot on the server. Additionally, you will be unable to reconnect for 15 minutes.
If you attempt to reconnect before the 15 minutes is up, it will restart the timer, making you wait longer.
